The company also introduced two other tablets, the i10 Note and i8 Pro

As it was anticipated last week, Chinese manufacturer Ramos held an event in the country where it introduced three new Windows 8.1 tablets.

For those who don’t remember, Ramos was said to have a dual-OS tablet in the pipe-line, but given recent information claiming Google and Microsoft are pressuring brand vendors such as ASUS to pull the plug on dual-OS endeavors, like the Transformer Book Duet, we were curious to see the outcome of Ramos’ claims.

And despite our second guesses, Ramos announced the dual-OS tablet after all. So here comes the Ramos i10 Pro, and the slides presenting the product the machine will arrive with 3G specifications and the ability to switch between two operating systems (Android 4.2.2 and Windows 8.1).

Unlike most models coming out of white-box vendors today, Ramos offers full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) on the tablet, while the chip platform mentioned inside is the Bay Trail-T Z3740D combined with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

There has been some talk of this actually being a 64-bit chip, so when the platform is going to become fully available we could possibly see an upgrade to Bay Trail-CR.

The 3G function comes about via an Ultrasick 3D SD card offered by Huawei, which is offered with the bundle. UMPCPortal claims Ramos hasn't actually confirmed the dual-boot aspect of the tablet, even if the presentation slide does list the two OS-es.

Anyway, the Ramos i10 Pro is pegged to arrive in China on March 25 for $433 / €314 a pop. Also note that the tablet will become available in five different colors.

At the same event, Ramos introduced another two tablet models. The first one is the 8-inch i8 Pro that we have seen in leaks before.

This is a pretty standard 8-inch slate running on the Bay Trail platform that will probably be made available for a low-cost price. Of course, the slate runs Windows 8.1 out of the box and has GPS functionality on top of everything else.

Last but not least, there’s the Ramos i10 Note, a product we haven’t heard of before. Anyway, this slate is situated lower than the Pro version, offering just a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. It runs an Intel Bay Trail-T Z34740D combined with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and the default operating system is Windows 8.1.

As the “Note” tag indicates, the slate also bundles a stylus. So far we don’t have info about pricing and availability options of the last two models, but we’ll come back to it when we do.
