Microsoft has already signed agreements with many handset manufacturers and OEMs regarding the launch of Windows Phone devices.

Lots of these companies are based in China or India and will only release one or two smartphones that will be available in their native countries.

It’s also worth mentioning that these companies are limiting their offerings to budget-friendly smartphones, so those waiting for high-end devices will have to choose between Microsoft and HTC flagships.

However, since Microsoft itself is trying to gain as much market share as possible by releasing lots of entry-level and mid-range smartphones, the fact that other companies are doing the same with their Windows Phones is a good thing.

The largest Windows Phone handset available on the market, Nokia Lumia 1520, sports a large 6-inch display. Still, there’s a new report that mentions another phablet that runs Windows Phone, which packs an even larger display.

Is it a tablet, or a phablet?

The Ramos Q7 is a new Windows Phone handset that boasts a huge 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that support HD (720p) resolution, a new report claims.

This looks like a prototype rather than an actual product since the smartphone has a few variation specs that will be included in the final version.

Ramos Q7 has been recently showcased at a trade fair in Hong Kong, and beside the gigantic 7-inch display that puts it in the small tablets category rather than phablets, it will also pack a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2-megapixel camera in the front.

The device will be equipped with a 1.2-1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. There’s no mention of microSD card slot, but there’s a high chance that the Ramos Q7 offers this feature as well.

The smartphone will run Windows Phone 8.1 and it will be powered by a high-capacity 4,000 mAh battery, which should provide enough energy required by the huge display. Other highlights of the device include HSDPA, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS with AGPS support.
