British actor RALPH FIENNES is planning to go on a tour of China. He is in love with a rural community in a south-western province.
RALPH FIENNES, who turned 43 on the 22 of December, just before Christmas, starred in the movie RED DRAGON and spent three months shooting his new movie THE WHITE COUNTESS in Shanghai. He declared that what he enjoyed mostly of the shoot was a trip to Yunan.
He says,
It has lots of ethnic minorities there, and they are extraordinary. Totally agrarian and still ploughing with oxen and sowing their crops and building their stone houses by hand. Weirdly untouched by modern, aggressive development. He seams to be fascinated with Chinese rural stops, and that determines him to go on the tour. He added:
I would love to go further afield in China to more rural places. The only problem might be that China is still a communist country and Ralph might not be used to this kind of repressive government, but it shouldn't affect him since he's going to rural places and he's a British citizen.
