43-year-old Hollywood actor Ralph Fiennes' ten-year relationship with actress Francesca Annis is definitely going down the drain after 31-year-old Romanian singer Cornelia Crisan revealed the actor has been enjoying a two year affair with her. The "English Patient" star has been cheating his 61-year-old Francesca, using the Romanian singer for wiping off his loneliness and sexual frustration.

Cornelia Crisan has taped a phone call to the Hollywood star a week last Thursday proving the relationship, so that she could sell the story. "I want some physical contact. I might be able to see you. I may come to London in the next couple of weeks," Fiennes' voice was saying on the phone. But she is now afraid that Fiennes will infirm their relationship, saying: "I want to get away from all this for a while."

The brunette singer said: "He wanted me to be there for him whenever he needed to talk, wanted a cuddle or to make love. Twice he told me he loved me... He was already with someone. He was a cheat."

Cornelia and Ralph met in 2004 at London's Dorchester Hotel. A friend of Cornelia said last night: "Ralph is besotted. At first she thought it was just a bit of fun, but now they're very close. They try to meet whenever he is in London." The couple are said to have been sending saucy texts to each other.

The news will devastate Francesca. Despite an 18-year age gap, she has had one of the most enduring relationships in showbiz with Ralph. But cracks first appeared in 2002 when Fiennes was pictured canoodling with Jennifer Lopez.
The nominee for a Best Actor BAFTA for "The Constant Gardener" is currently starring in a play in Dublin. When asked about the affair he refused to comment and his wife Francesca brutally said: "Not now".
