14 DAY TRIAL // Rally Software, a software developer working on Agile application lifecycle management (ALM), has announced that it has acquired Rally for the iPhone from Blue Hole Software. The previously application was called ScrumAway and could be bought for $15. The new owner of the application announced that Rally for the iPhone has been relaunched as a free application.
The application offers access to the real-time status, progress and quality of Agile development projects anytime, anywhere. The update process connects Rally application to the company's ALM platform. This will help project teams efficiently plan, update and track software releases that propel business innovation.
"Rally is expanding our business through strategic acquisitions to ensure we're offering the best ALM products to help companies achieve superior ROI, reduce risk, and increase productivity," said Ryan Martens, Rally's founder and CTO. "We've acquired AgileZen and Rally for the iPhone this year, which has strengthened our position in the emerging Kanban market and demonstrated our first step in our larger strategy of providing mobile access to Rally's premier ALM platform."
