Rainmeter 3.0 has received a brand new update today that’s supposed to fix bugs and other issues found in older releases.

According to the official release notes, Rainmeter 3.0.0 Rev 2097 Beta comes to address Direct2D glitches that affected a number of installations running the older builds.

“Due to some Direct2D issues with image quality when an image meter is ‘resized’ in Rainmeter with W and H, all image rendering is changed to use the GDI+ engine while a more permanent solution is found,” the release notes reveal.

Even though it’s still in beta stage, the new Rainmeter version is supposed to work flawlessly on basically all Windows editions, including both 32- and 64-bit builds. Windows 8.1 compatibility is also offered.
