Ubisoft confirms that it's going to organize a special closed alpha test stage for the multiplayer mode in its upcoming Rainbow Six Siege tactical shooter later this year. Those who want to participate can already sign up and manifest their interest.

The Rainbow Six series has been around for quite some time, offering shooter fans experiences that were more tactical in nature and required better planning, not just flawless execution. The series has been dormant in recent years, but Ubisoft wants to revive it in a major way through the upcoming Rainbow Six Siege.

The new experience focuses more on the main conflict and so far Ubisoft has presented the main Siege multiplayer experience.

A closed alpha for Siege is coming soon

However, Ubisoft now confirms on the official website that it needs help from fans when it comes to testing the new game, so a special closed alpha experience will soon be held in North America and Europe on the PC platform.

Those interested can check out the website linked above, but bear in mind that a uPlay account is mandatory to participate in the test stage.

Ubisoft also shared some minimum requirements for the Rainbow Six Siege closed alpha experience, confirming that a 64-bit operating system, a powerful CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a very recent GPU are require to run the test phase.

Of course, the final game will have lower specs, as Ubisoft highlights that it's still optimizing the game to run on a multitude of PC configurations.

Ubisoft doesn't mention when the actual test phase for Rainbow Six Siege will begin, so expect to hear more in the following weeks. It's also unclear what’s included in the actual alpha so the studio is likely to shed some light on that aspect as well.

Those who get invited into the test will receive a code via email from Ubisoft that can be redeemed in the Uplay client.

Until the Rainbow Six Siege alpha begins, check out the latest video below and the full minimum requirements.
