The development team working on the newly announced Rain title for the PlayStation 3 says that it is aiming to deliver the same level of quality and success as Journey and The Unfinished Swan, indie titles that had a big impact on the Sony device.

Ken Suzuta, a producer working at Sony Computer Entertainment Japan, tells CVG that, “Obviously we want to make Rain as big as those titles. We do have that pressure but it motivates us to deliver a good game.”

Rain is a game that has evolved due to PlayStation CAMP, a Sony program that allows amateur designers to create ideas and then see them grow under the guidance of Sony.

Journey and The Unfinished Swan have also also created by independent companies that have received a lot of support from Sony Computer Entertainment Santa Monica.
