After the nominations were announced last week, a panel of industry insiders revealed the winners of the E3 Game Critics Awards, with Rage, the post apocalyptic first person shooter from id Software and Bethesda Softworks, taking three awards, for best action game, best console title and graphics. The game is set to arrive on the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3, the PC and the Mac at some point in 2011.

The Best in Show award was taken home by Nintendo with its new 3DS handheld, which promises to deliver three-dimensional gaming without the use of specialized glasses before the end of this year.
