Rage will finally receive its The Scorchers DLC later today, December 18, and in anticipation of the major release, a few new screenshots have surfaced, showing off characters and environments from the upcoming add-on.

Rage came out last year and, while it didn't reach the levels of popularity Bethesda or id Software had hoped, it still has a pretty loyal following.

After plenty of teases and rumors, the first story-based expansion for the game is coming out later today, December 18, in the form of Rage: The Scorchers DLC.

We already heard the official details over the weekend and now, ahead of its actual launch, Bethesda has revealed, via AGB, a group of screenshots from the add-on.

As you can see in the gallery below, the images depict not just new characters but also environments, monsters, and other such things.

Check out the screenshots below and get ready for the release of Rage: The Scorchers today, December 18, for PC and Xbox 360 worldwide as well as for PS3 users in North America, while PS3 users in Europe need to wait until tomorrow, December 19, to get it.
