Rage HD 2.0 Released in the App Store

id Software has rolled out version 2.0 of their graphically stunning Rage HD video game for iPhone and iPad, adding a new Mutant Bash Store with IAP, new in-app purchasing, higher-res players and weapons, and lots more.

The first in-app purchase delivered by id Software in Rage is Episode Pack 1: E04 Kraken & E05 Aqueduct, and more new content is coming soon to the Mutant Bash Store, the developer said.

Higher resolution player and weapon models have been added, and the game is now supported for HDMI output. The company also refined video support for the VGA and component cables under iOS 5.

Some performance enhancements have been made as well, and there’s “a massive list of bug fixes” included, though none are specified on iTunes. Finally, the binary has been compiled under the iOS 5 SDK, making it compatible with iOS 5.x devices.
