14 DAY TRIAL // Raw Dawn Chong, who starred opposite Oprah Winfrey in “The Color Purple” back in 1985, is so filled with resentment against her former co-star that she recently vented about her in a radio interview, as we also informed you hours ago.
Among the things she said of Oprah, Raw called her a fatty and a brown-noser, but also the N-word.
The video above is the actress’ explanation / non-apology for the controversy surrounding her comments.
Weirdly enough, she says she only called Oprah a “field N-word” as a compliment but, as you can see for yourself, she doesn’t explain how that was supposed to be flattering.
“In context, I was actually complimenting Oprah. Do I have issues with Oprah? Yes. Am I perfect? No. Do I take back everything I said? No. Am I in pain that it's caused pain to me, to her? Yes,” she says.
She also insists that her comments were taken out of context.
