New WTA Tour sensation, Polish teenager Agnieszka Radwanska continues her stunning form in the Warsaw Open.
After producing the biggest upset of the year, beating Russian Anastasia Myskina in the first round of the home tournament, she cruised into the quarterfinals with a comfortable win over Czech Republic's
Klara Koukalova, in straight sets (6-1, 6-2).
Currently on the 309th place in the WTA standings, the crowd's new favorite will try to enter the first major final in her short carrier. Her next encounter will see Radwanska take on seeded Russian Elena Dementieva, for a place in the semis.
Her opponent in yesterday's match, Koukalova, said after her defeat that the young Polish has every chance of reaching the final, if she continues to play like that: "My opponent played very fast, precise and made no mistakes, especially during the most important moments. Does she stand a chance with Dementieva? If she plays like she did on Tuesday and Wednesday, she will definitely be a threat to Elena", concluded the Czech player.
