Customers waiting for Valentine's Day deals to grab one of the upcoming high-end smartphones will be happy to hear that RadioShack has just announced a new trade-in programs that will help them acquire a new phone with a certain discount.

The 'Fresh Phone February' program allows mobile phone users to trade in a working existing phone of any sort and get $50 off a new phone.

However, RadioShack provides customers with only two options, as they will only be able to get $50 off for either the HTC EVO 4G or the EVO Shift 4G.

Luckily, those looking to purchase other mobile phones and still benefit from the discount will be able to do so starting with February 12, when both EVO 4G and EVO Shift 4G are replaced with offers for other models.

Furthermore, to be eligible for the trade-in program, the user's phone must be in working condition and without any signs of damage such as: broken case, cracked display and so on.

According to RadioShack, the program will be available for customers until March 5th, but there's no telling how many mobile phones will be available with the $50 discount.

'Fresh Phone February' is part of the retailer's Trade & Save program, which includes other devices such as: game consoles and games, camera and camcorders, computers, car audio, GPS receivers, MP3 players and HDTVs.

RadioShack also states that it appraises any mobile phone that is in working condition and able to 'power on,' but even if the trade-in value will exceed $50, both EVO 4G and EVO Shift 4G won't receive a higher discount.

In this regard, the trade-in value will be given in the form of a RadioShack Gift Card, which can be used further to purchase a new product.

For devices that have no trade-in value, RadioShack promises a “very responsible” recycle, free of charge.
