Fictional charity campaign goes viral, teaches people what Africa is really all about

A group of people from Africa has recently launched a fictional (and highly ironic) charity campaign, whose goal is to put an end to the media's tendency of promoting various stereotypes having to do with the so-called “developing nations.”

The idea behind Radi-Aid is fairly simple: while people in Africa need help in gaining access to electricity and keeping their agriculture afloat (as reported in most media outlets), the people in Norway have tons of problems with snow.

Since Africa packs tremendous amounts of heat, why not lend a helping hand to the people in Norway by sending them heaters and helping them better cope with the harsh winter that has come upon them?

As the official website for Radi-Aid puts it: “Donate Your Radiator! Africans unite to save Norwegians from dying of frostbite. You too can donate your radiator and spread some warmth!”
