As you might have already found out, the Sunnyvale, California-based Advanced Micro Devices announced yesterday the debut of its next generation of desktop graphics cards, the much-anticipated Radeon HD 5800 series, providing end-users with the first DirectX 11-support line of video cards. Following the official introduction from AMD, a number of its partners have been quick to announce their updated Radeon offerings. As it goes, users will now have a wide array of choices for their next-generation desktop GPUs, taking full advantage of the new features that have been integrated in AMD's latest solutions.

ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte or HIS are just a few of those companies that have announced their latest Radeon graphics cards. The list continues with the likes of PowerColor, Sapphire, XFX and others, all of which have announced at least the Radeon HD 5870 model, which currently stands as AMD's highest-performance, single-GPU graphics card. Based on the 40nm manufacturing technology, these cards are designed to provide computer enthusiasts with a boost of performance, new features like support for DirectX 11, ATI's Eyefinity technology and more.

“It would be an understatement to say we are excited to bring the next generation of ATI technology to consumers. The PowerColor HD5000 series has the most advanced graphics processors yet,” says Ted Chen, CEO of TUL Corporation. “We are also looking to provide more value to the consumer which is why we are bundling this next generation series of cards with one of the most popular games in the market today along with KONNET HDMI cables.”

From those mentioned above, PowerColor has really outdone itself, having announced no less than six new cards, three of each new GPU, the Radeon HD 5870 and Radeon HD 5850, respectively. Some of these cards have already been listed on the websites of online retailers like Newegg, but there's a good chance that you won't find them in stock at this time.
