The Pussycat Dolls' highly lucrative brand has just made one of its boldest moves yet. No, the five members of the successful pop band have not finally decided to take off their clothes completely and pose nude in magazines across the world - but as consolation, if this is what you're thinking then you're almost right. The woman who had the brilliant idea of putting together the burlesque troupe turned pop sensation struck again. Robin Antin designed and launched a racy lingerie line, which she debuted during the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The highly entertaining show consisted of a catwalk parade of the new designs, complete with a performance by the original Dolls, whose stage style served as inspiration for the lingerie collection.
The "Pussycat Dolls by Robin Antin Fall 2008 fashion" was every fetishist Pussycat fan's dream - and a little extra on the
side. As can be expected, the lingerie designs were extremely racy and colorful, making use of the whole sexy arsenal of camisoles, pants, plunging necklines and bottom-grazing skirts, animal prints, bows and fishnets, all blended together to create that sexy rock kitten look that has become trademark for the band and its show-stopping performances. The models were joined on stage by the five lead Pussycats - Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt, Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton and Ashley Roberts - who performed some of their hit singles while weaving their way in an out of barely-clad chicks wearing Pussycat-inspired designs.

The funny part was that, next to the lingerie designs they inspired, the five ladies looked somewhat overdressed - although they were wearing trademark, barely-there and yet very sexy black outfits. The move from burlesque performer to underwear designer was an easy leap for creator Robin Antin, as she follows in the much more classic footsteps of burlesque queen Dita von Teese, who has also announced she would be designing her own vintage lingerie range. Despite some skepticism, the show was highly entertaining and provided Pussycat fans with a very colorful insight into the kind of underwear they are likely to look for in stores in the near future.
