Chef, author and television personality Rachel Ray is looking positively stunning these days, though, if one were to ask her, she couldn’t say exactly just how much weight she’s lost. She did lose some, she tells
People, because she now works out at the gym every single day and wears clothes in smaller sizes.
Aside from looking much better, Mrs. Ray says she has also noticed an improvement in how she feels ever since she started working out regularly. She’s no longer tired all the time and, while she wouldn’t even dare think she’d wake up early in the morning, she’s now the first to jump out of bed and get ready for gym and then work. All this is enough to convince her she’s improved her life, which is why she doesn’t weigh herself to see how many pounds she’s rid herself of so far.
“I started running 3½ miles every morning after throat surgery to remove a cyst last year. The gym used to be my adversary. But that has all changed. Now, I look forward to it every morning,” Ray tells People. So, instead of dozing off after the alarm goes off, Rachel is out of bed at 5:50 and out running in almost no time. After a half-an-hour jog, she hits the gym to tone up on the machines, which also ensure that she never gets bored with her workout.
Rachel “is ready to rip at 5:50 a.m., and even earlier if she has a TV appearance before her own New York-based talk show. She spends about 30 minutes running, then heads for the gym for 45-60 more minutes of elliptical training before choosing from a circuit of machines. ‘I look forward to this workout every morning but Sunday,’ says Ray, who is using the David Barton gym while in South Beach with her lawyer-musician husband John Cusimano. ‘I listen to my iPod and discovered I think much clearer now.’” People says after speaking to the star.
In the same interview with the mag, Rachel Ray also reveals a little thing not many other women would be able to admit to, namely that she doesn’t weigh herself. Still, she knows for a fact she’s lost the weight because she now buys clothes in sizes smaller than before – so, this out of the way, she doesn’t need to know with precision just with how many pounds she’s lighter now.
