Soon after Buffalo presented the WSKP-G the Skype phone that did not require a PC, RTX DUALphone 3088 was announced.

Just like in the case of Buffalo's new phone, there is no more need to stand in front of a switched-on PC to be able to use this handheld to talk for free with your Skpe buddies. You will simply need to connect the DUALphone base station to a broadband router or modem.

The device will work within a radius of 300 m from the base station. The main advantage of the DUALphone is that it can also work as a normal cordless phone. With 10 hours of talktime and 140 hours of standby, it completely subdues it's 'brother' the Buffalo WSKP-G.

Offering longer talk and standby time and its capacity to work both as a Skype phone and a normal one, The RXT DUALphone 3088 comes with a base station and a charging dock.

It is available through European retailers and has a price tag of $203, almost the same as Buffalo WSKP-G. For more information about where to buy it visit Dualphone.net
