A “senior” cat, victim of negligence or animal cruelty now costs only $40 (€29.64)

Now would be a great time to adopt a rescued kitty, taking into account that the officials from RSPCA recently announced they would halve the fees for feline adoptions. Such a measure is meant to encourage a larger segment of the population to provide a new home for almost 30 misfortunate kittens, victims of negligence or animal cruelty acts.

Despite this fact, representatives from RSPCA highlight the fact that such an initiative should be considered a long-term strategy and not an “impulse buy,” according to SuperGreenMe.

Until December, the fee for a kitten up to twelve months old will be $80 (€59.29), for adult cats up to six years old $60 (€44.46) and $40 (€29.64) for “senior” cats over six years old only, a rather small price for a pet that will keep your chair warm during winter.

This is a real deal, since the felines “on sale” are no ordinary cats. The officials made sure they are behaviour assessed, desexed, microchipped and that the vet is one of their best friends. All the kittens have been health checked, and are currently on the schedule with their flea and worming treatments. Careful though, the great offer expires on December 2nd.

The facility is open six days a week and allows you to take a look and select your new family member at http://www.adoptapet.com.au/. With a little luck, they might arrive just in time for Christmas.
