Classic RPG game Baldur's Gate arrives on the iPad in an “Enhanced Edition” installment tailored specifically for 10-inch touchscreens by the folks at Beamdog.
Delivering the original Baldur's Gate campaign, as well as the “Tales of the Sword Coast” expansion pack, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition is described as “a classic saga of mystery, intrigue, and adventure [that] has set the standard for Dungeons & Dragons computer role-playing games ever since.”
Beamdog promises 80 hours of Epic RPG gameplay, over 40 classes and kits, 100+ spells, 150 magical items, a thrilling combat adventure in “The Black Pits,” and three new characters (Rasaad yn Bashir, Dorn Il-Khan, and Neera the Wild Mage).
The game is solely compatible with iPads but the developer fails to specify which models are supported.
Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition also requires the latest version of Apple’s mobile operating system (iOS 6) which means the first generation of tablet computers is out. The game sells for $9.99 / €8,99.
