
The ROKR E6, Motorola's recently FCC approved music phone was finally released in China today. Just as mentioned when it was presented,
ROKR E6 delivers a 2.4 inch 260k color
QVGA touch - screen and a 2 megapixel camera.
Working on GSM 900/1800/1900 bands, and primarily released for China, it can also be used in the U.S. But exclusively within the T-Mobile network. ROKR E6 has also pushed to talk capabilities and handwriting recognition, being powered by Motorola's pen-based Linux OS and equipped with a bar code scanner, business card reader and PDF viewer.
It also features mobile versions of most MS Office applications. While it may have all kinds of interesting features like the ones just presented, keep in mind that ROKR E6 is primarily a music phone, and therefore supports MP3, MPEG4, AAC+, WAV and Real Audio formats.
I-Tunes has been replaced with Real Player and the user can store up to 2 GB of music on the supported SD card. ROKR E6 also features an integrated FM Radio, a USB 2.0 jack for quick data transfer as well as a 3.5 mm headphone jack and Bluetooth stereo audio(A2DP).
But ROKR E6 doesn't only perform well; it also looks good and will allow you to talk for up to 7 hours, while having a standby of 235 hours. It has a price tag of 4,280 Chinese Yuan which is the equivalent of $545.
