Taito Shiny Black Gaming Mousepads ready to act as the proving ground for mice

ROCCAT may have a lot of gaming peripherals running rampant around the world, but it figured they could use some help, so instead of a new mouse or keyboard, it made some mouse pads this once.

Granted, saying that ROCCAT made some new mouse pads could be taking things a tad bit too far.

After all, these aren't so many new models as they are revisions of the ROCCAT Taito Shiny Black Gaming Mousepad.

There are three sizes and two thicknesses, so as to meet the needs of all gamers, whether they have big or small hands.

More specifically, Mini-Size, Mid-Size and King-Sized ROCCAT Taito Shiny Black gaming Mousepads are or will be available, in 3mm and 5mm thickness.

The 3mm models should already be shipping, for prices of 9.99 Euro ($13), 14.99 ($19.51) and 19.99 Euro ($26.02), respectively.

The 5mm ones will only begin to sell around the end of this month (December, 2011), for, in the same order as above, 12.99 Euro ($16.91), 17.99 Euro ($23.42) and 22.99 Euro ($29.93).

“The Taito has long been a favorite with gamers,” says René Korte, ROCCAT Founder and CEO.

“We’ve received a tremendous amount of thanks over the years from players who’ve said the Taito has made their gaming infinitely better and much more fun. And that’s what it’s all about.

“So we decided it was time to expand the line and offer players even more. We’ve taken a gaming phenomenon and pushed it even further. We can’t wait for the reaction from fans.”

The Taito Mini-Size measures 265 mm x 210 mm, the mid-Size is 400 mm x 320 mm and the King-Sized is no less than 455 mm x 370 mm.

That makes 10.43 x 8.26 inches, 15.74 x 12.59 inches and 17.91 x 12.59 inches, respectively.

All of them boast the heat-blasted Nano Matrix gaming surface and a non-slip rubberized backing, so that the pad never moves even during furious swipes.

The so-called ruggedized structure helps the mouse pads last a long time as well, even under duress.
