The company is Introducing ROAMpay X, the next-generation solution for mobile credit card acceptance, now with a redesigned UI, signature capture, tax & tip calculator, and other new features.
A leading mCommerce platform provider, ROAM Data extends both physical POS and eCommerce to the mobile environment.
The company’s ROAMpay X iPhone application is a mobile card acceptance solution similar to that of Square.
Unlike other credit card apps, ROAMpay X provides a full range of POS functionalities including Refunds, Void, Signature capture, Tax & Tip calculator, Offline sales, and Inquiries.
The new ROAMpay X application offers an enhanced user experience by featuring an easier checkout process and user workflow, along with richer and more intuitive graphics.
A Signature Capture feature now allows merchants to capture their customers’ signatures and retrieve them on reports.
The automatic tax calculator lets merchants set their sales tax for easy calculation on goods and services, and they can also add tip amount or percentage to be totaled before authorizing the payment.

ROAMpay X is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad and requires iOS 3.1.2 or later, meaning even first generation devices are supported.
