RIM’s Porsche Designed P’9981, the luxury handset that was unveiled to the world back in October, has passed through the FCC hallways, where it got torn to pieces.

Priced at around $2,000, the handset can impress everyone through the combination of stainless steel, leather and glass it sports on the outside.

However, if there are some who would like to see what the smartphone packs on the inside, they can now take a look at the photos that FCC published with the device for that.

One thing that should be noted here is that the handset torn to pieces at the FCC appears to have been only a prototype smartphone, one that featured the word “Proceeding” instead of the “Porsche Design” logo.

You can have a look at some more BlackBerry Porsche P’9981 tear down photos over at the FCC.
