Will work with BlackBerry devices

Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion has been rumored not too long ago to be working on the development of a BlackBerry Bluetooth watch, and now the device has emerged into the wild in a series of images, which are accompanied by some specifications and a name. It seems that RIM's BlackBerry watch will be called inPulse.

The pictures and specs of the device emerged on CrackBerry, which says that the watch has been designed specifically to be used with the phone maker's BlackBerry smartphones. The device won't be made by RIM itself, it seems, but will come from a BlackBerry-dedicated accessory company. And it won't sport a BlackBerry logo on it.

The specs of the inPulse BlackBerry watch include an OLED screen, which is said to be “big, bright and beautiful,” has been optimized for displaying text clearly, and comes with a long battery life due to the OLED technology used for it. The watch will also show notifications and previews of messages that have been pushed to the BlackBerry device.

What should be noted here is that the inPulse BlackBerry smartwatch hasn't been designed so as to replace the smartphone when it comes to viewing messages, but it has been developed so as to help those who cannot use the phone in certain circumstances to take a quick look at their inPulse device so as to decide whether they need to get the BlackBerry phone out of the pocket or not.

The watch seems like a great accessory to most BlackBerry users out there, and it might even see support from BlackBerry developers at a certain point in time, though nothing is sure at the moment. Unfortunately, no specific details on when to expect the device to land on the market or at what price tag have emerged so far.
