No less than five BlackBerry applications will soon be updated with BBM integration, Research In Motion (RIM) has just confirmed.

Facebook and Twitter for BlackBerry smartphones, BlackBerry Travel, BlackBerry App World, BBM Music, as well as BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) will receive important updates in the following 10 days.

RIM will soon upgrade BBM to version 6.2, which will bring BlackBerry Tag functions and new animated avatars. In addition, the update will allow users to send voice notes much faster, and will offer them an easier way to update their profile messages.

The most popular social apps for Blackberry, Facebook and Twitter will receive BBM integration. Every time users connect to their Facebook and Twitter accounts with BBM, they will be able to share their latest status updates and tweets.

There’s more to it as users can choose to share tweets or Facebook updates with their BBM contacts in a single location as well.

BlackBerry Travel will be updated to version 2.5, thus also receiving BBM integration. Basically, users can instantly update BBM contacts with their travel status following a few simple steps.

Furthermore, BlackBerry App World with BBM integration will enable users to share their most recent app downloads with their contacts through BBM profile. Sharing favorite apps with a friend via BlackBerry Tag is possible as well (NFC is required).

Last but not least, BBM Music will soon be a BBM connected app, allowing for easier connections among friends. Before accepting a new contact to their network, users can check out their songs and see which friends they have in common. The update will also bring users the ability to mark favorite songs/playlists.

According to RIM, “updates for the apps will roll out throughout the next 10 days, so be sure to check the BlackBerry App World Carousel daily or wait for the app update notifications.”
