The handset will be released on China Telecom’s network

On Thursday, Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion officially announced the availability of its BlackBerry Bold 9930 smartphone on the market in China, on the network of wireless carrier China Telecom.

The smartphone will arrive on shelves in China with support for the wireless carrier’s CDMA network, while featuring a thin design and high-performance keyboard and touch display integration.

BlackBerry Bold 9930 features global roaming and WiFi connectivity, Chinese input options, a highly responsive high-resolution touch screen, and a fast browser for a great Internet navigation experience.

According to RIM, the smartphone can deliver a great mobile communications experience through its suite of phone, email, messaging, social networking, multimedia and business apps

The mobile phone also arrives in China with support for NFC (Near Field Communications), so that users could enjoy features such as mobile payments, accessories pairing, and more.

“We’re excited to launch the BlackBerry Bold 9930 smartphone in China,” said Urpo Karjalainen, regional managing director, Asia Pacific, at Research In Motion.

“The new Bold will feature the new BlackBerry 7.1 operating system and provide customers with an outstanding communications, web browsing and multimedia experience. IT managers will also benefit from the renowned enterprise-grade features of the BlackBerry solution.”

The BlackBerry 7.1 operating system (OS) can offer great navigation capabilities through its integrated browser, with optimized zooming and panning and enhanced HTML5 performance. The handset also comes with a BlackBerry Tag feature that provides users with the possibility to share information and content in new, convenient ways.

Moreover, the BlackBerry 7.1 OS on BlackBerry Bold 9930 provides the option to share a wireless connection with up to 5 WiFi-enabled devices through included mobile hotspot capabilities.
