The BlackBerry Developer Day is back at the Mobile World Congress, Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion announced. At this year's MWC show in Barcelona, the company will hold a one-day event on Tuesday February 15th as part of the MWC App Planet Application Developer Conferences. According to the company, it plans on unveiling details on its future roadmap at the said event, as well as on its plans for application developers, and would also have in store BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet Bootcamps.

“We will be holding general sessions in our main auditorium to get you up to speed on the latest and greatest information on the BlackBerry development platform with special focus on how to best monetize your apps on BlackBerry App World and integrate with the BBM Social Platform,” RIM notes in a recent blog post.

“We will also be hosting a number of hands-on-labs covering BlackBerry WebWorks and Adobe AIR development on the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. You can attend sessions either in the morning or afternoon – and don’t forget to bring your laptops to get the most out of the bootcamp sessions,” the company continues.

One more event that would be held at the MWC show would be the AppCircus Spotlight on BlackBerry between 13.30 and 14.30 on that day, the company announced.

At this event, developers would have the chance to showcase their applications and win a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet PC, the company notes. Those who would like to participate would have to register here. “Deadline to apply is February 4th 2011, midnight CET,” the company notes.

BlackBerry development experts will be present at the MWC 2011 show in Barcelona in the BlackBerry Developer Zone area of RIM's booth in Hall 7, the company continues, adding that visitors are welcomed there for the remaining of the week.

“If you already have a ticket to MWC, please drop by BlackBerry Developer Zone on Monday February 14th between 9am and 6pm to register your place. We also have a number of tickets available – register here,” RIM concludes.
