Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion is currently working on the release of version 2.0 of its PlayBook OS. The company has already detailed the platform flavor and should have it available on devices in the coming months.

At the same time, however, it appears that RIM is also working on the next iteration of the platform, namely PlayBook OS 3.0, although specific info on it has yet to emerge.

Apparently, RIM is set to have the PlayBook OS ready for the release of BlackBerry 10 smartphones, and will enhance it to make sure they will offer a consistent experience.

Unfortunately, there are little details available on what the upcoming OS flavor will actually include. However, N4BB suggests that we might see a deeper connection between the tablet OS and the Smartphone platform.
