RED to Show Off Its Laser-Driven 4K Projector

After spoiling filmmakers all over with their high-resolution, high-performance digital cameras, RED is now set to show off its much-rumored 4K laser projector in its first public demo.

As SlashGear has revealed, the company will hold a special military-themed event called “RED Ops Night,” which will take place in Los Angeles tonight.

“We will be showing an Epic reel on our 40 foot screen from our 4K projector including a recent military themed demo reel shot on Red cameras,” reads the event’s announcement.

Of course that no info about the specs of this projector were provided other than the fact that it uses laser technology to project images at 4K resolutions and features passive 3D support, which we all pretty much knew.

The projector is targeted at both home and theater users.
