“RED 2” Poster Is Here: Get Ready for More Awesomeness

“RED” was perhaps one of the most surprising releases of 2010: comprising an impressive and stellar cast, it showed that action movies, the smart kind, weren't exclusive to a certain age group. A sequel is now in the works.

The name of the film stands for “Retired, Extremely Dangerous,” because it tells the story of a group of aging, retired special agents who are called back to action for the greater good of mankind.

A new poster for the sequel has been released (click on the image above to see it in full) and, while it doesn't say that much about the plot, it looks awesome enough to warrant a few cheers, at the very least.

“RED 2” stars Helen Mirren, Anthony Hopkins, Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker and Catherine Zeta-Jones, is directed by Dean Parisot and will be out in theaters in August 2013.
