Unfortunately, just when RAmos was starting to make a name for itself in the portable multimedia players' (PMPs') market, this particular brand of products has started to go downhill at the hands of smartphones and multimedia tablets, so the company's engineers were forced to do some quick thinking and adapt their offerings to the new market demands.

For this reason, the company delved into the MID (mobile internet device) market, and although this particular segment has also gone down the drain, it can still be assimilated, at least to some extent, with Internet tablets, so RAmos' products don't seem to be that old-fashioned.

Anyway, the reason why we've started talking about this particular company is that, as ClonedInChina informs us, they've just outed yet another MID, namely the T11AD, which doesn't fall far from their usual design trends, featuring a 5-inch touchscreen display and somewhat of a plain look.

The mobile Internet device runs Google's Android 2.1 operating system and is powered by Rockchip's RK2818 chip, accompanied by 256 MB RAM and 8GB on-board storage, a configuration that, beside browsing, also allows it to run 720p videos.

Sadly, this feature won't do users any good unless they connect the MID to a HDTV, given the fact that its own touchscreen display only delivers a 800x480 pixels resolution.

Additional features we have to mention include the possibility to browse the web via the built-in Wi-Fi application, while the list of supported video formats is also pretty impressive, since it includes RM, RMVB, MKV, FLV, MPG, MP4, 3GP, DAT, MOV file types.

Leaving aside all of the features this thing provides, we'll have to admit that we were particularly content with the MID's pricing, which makes it a serious competitor even for some more full-fledged tablets.

So, the RAmos T11AD is available on the Chinese market for around 700 Yuan (or 105 USD), which is really affordable, given the features it carried under the hood.
