The Internet Radio has gained its rightful place in the broadcast world as more people begin to love the benefits and convenience of this kind of means of communication. While blending in the traditional terrestrial radio with the immensity of the digital world, the Internet Radio looks like the best thing that has happened to broadcast lately. And since the Internet Radio needs some special tools, here's one of the newest and coolest around: the Sanyo R227, a piece of audio gadgetry that will bring the whole world in your room at the touch of a button.

The best attribute of the Sanyo R227 is the fact that it can deliver to you thousands of free radio stations and podcasts from around the whole world without any subscription and without the need to boot up your computer.

The perfect addition to your bedroom or living room. Or office.

This small and nifty standalone radio can be easily connected to any broadband Internet connection in your residence or office and it can also access shared music files found in computers across your network if permission is granted. Or, you can just search the Internet stations from the entire world by country or genre, which makes it easy for you to reach your preferred content.

You can store up to 8 Internet station presets and 8 FM ones, for instantly accessing your fav music and local news. And when it comes to AM stations, the Sanyo R227 sports an innovative feature: since AM reception in condominium or office buildings can be a real problem, this radio accesses the station’s website and streams the broadcast from there.

This nifty radio can handle AAC, AIFF, MP3, RM, WAV, WMA file formats and it is now available for $220.
