Researchers say the human race shares over two dozen universal emotions. All things considered, chances are that an undying and most profound love for beer is one of them.

For lack of hard scientific evidence, the story of Brennan Gleason and how he ended up working at a digital marketing agency in Vancouver, Canada, will have to serve as proof of this statement for the time being.

Long story short, Huffington Post tells us that this man from British Columbia was contacted by several firms and asked to drop by for an interview after printing his CV on packs of beer.

At this point, some clarifications are in order. Thus, Brennan Gleason, a graduate of the University of the Fraser Valley, specializes in graphic design, information shared with the public says.

Hence the fact that his odd CVs, cleverly labeled Résum-Ale, ended up looking as shown in the photo above, and not like some 5-year-old's drawings. No disrespect to children's art intended.

By the looks of it, Brennan Gleason created his Résum-Ales to complete a school assignment. In a nutshell, he was asked to put his graphic design knowledge to better use and develop a work of self-promotion.

The graphic designer did just that and even used his passion for brewing beer at home to create what might just be the coolest work of self-promotion ever. Thus, Brennan Gleason's Résum-Ales speak loads about who he is and what his passions are.

Apart from the fact that the beer included in these CVs is made by this former University of the Fraser Valley student himself, each of the bottles sports a label displaying cut-outs of his portfolio, and their caps feature Brennan Gleason's personal logo.

What's more, the box containing the four bottles shows all the basic information an employer wants to know before contacting a potential employee, together with the words “visually pleasing, smooth, and elegant, with a bit of a wild side – and I’m not just talking about the beer.”

Talking to the press, Brennan Gleason explained that it was not very long after he had made his Résum-Ales and sent them to various companies that job offers started pouring in. Eventually, he settled on a company dubbed Techtone.

“At the end of our program, everyone is obviously looking for jobs in the industry. So, I used that to my advantage. I sent about three of them out to places I knew I really wanted to get a job at and ended up getting a few offers right away,” the graphic designer recalls.

Furthermore, “I think it’s mostly just because it's different from a traditional resume. As designers, were always trying to show off our creativity. That’s the first impression these companies see.”
