Qwikker and Prime Point Media announced that the two companies are working together to enable the delivery of multimedia content to mobile phones and wireless devices via Bluetooth technology from payphone kiosks across the U.S. The first content campaign on the network went live in November 2006, distributing a promotional video on behalf of the U.S. Navy Reserve. The companies are planning a progressive rollout of 2500 locations by the end of 2007.

"We are excited to be driving forward the transformation of the out of home media industry with the rollout of this exciting
new interactive platform," said Karen Robinson, CEO of Prime Point Media. "With the addition of local wireless content delivery to our network of payphones, we can offer our customers a contextually relevant way of delivering rich mobile content at no cost to the end user."

In addition to the delivery of single media files and content items, Qwikker allows brands to deliver mobile channels, which are collections of user-selectable content, interactive information, video clips, mp3s, pictures, ring tones, games, and clickable links, stored on the mobile device and available at a later time for users to share content or respond to a brand. Qwikker runs the largest direct-to-mobile location content network in the world, with over 700 Bluetooth content distribution points across the US and UK. Brands which have leveraged the Qwikker network include Yahoo!, Channel 4, Electronic Arts, Universal Music, 20th Century Fox, Red Bull, Virgin Mobile, Robbie Williams/ie: music, Nokia and Universal Pictures.

"Our content distribution network is helping companies solve the practical problem of direct-to-consumer mobile content distribution," said Saul Kato, founder and CTO of Qwikker. "We are excited about working with Prime Point Media to help them deliver a flexible and rich solution to meet their media customer's needs."

Prime Point Media, a division of OutdoorPartner Media, is a provider of national payphone advertising. Many of the world's best known brands, including American Express, Anheuser-Busch, Bank of America, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Coca-Cola, General Motors, Ford, Miller Brewing, Proctor and Gamble, Time Warner and Verizon, have run advertising programs with the company.
