The
Qwest Communications International Inc. company, one of the largest telecommunications carrier in the United States, has published its intention to donate to the Susan G. Komen
Breast Cancer Foundation 10% of every Sanyo "Cherry Blossom Pink" Katana sold from June until 31 October, to support the foundation's research and community outreach programs.
Teresa Taylor, executive vice president of Human Resources at Qwest has said that "the pocket-sized Katana from Qwest Wireless offers customers the latest in sleek styling and advanced features, but also supports essential preventative efforts and research to help win the fight against breast cancer. Qwest is very excited about the expansion of our partnership with SANYO in support of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation."
The new revamped Sanyo Katana will have all the features of the original mobile phone, including a VGA camera, a speakerphone, a large internal 2.2 inch 65k colors
QVGA display, offering Bluetooth connectivity, but lacking the very useful
EV-DO support.
Andy Kodera, senior vice president and general manager of Sanyo Fisher Company Wireless Communication Division, has declared:"We'd like to thank the customers of Qwest and SANYO who have purchased one of our pink phones to help in the Komen Foundation effort. The two pink
SANYO phones are characteristic of the pink ribbon symbolizing breast cancer awareness. While helping people stay connected to friends, family and business, the sale of the phones also benefits a very worthwhile cause."
This pink mobile phone that is working for a good cause will cost you about 100 $ with a Qwest service agreement, but these will be the most wisely spend money in all your life. (Female) People around the world, join hands and get pink!
