A new flavor of the Quickoffice for Android mobile application is now available for download for the owners of devices running under Google's mobile operating system, namely Quickoffice 5.0.

The new mobile application has just made it to the Android Market, and is meant to provide a much better experience for all users, both for those owning a smartphone, as well as for those who take advantage of a tablet PC.

The new Quickoffice arrives on devices with a crisper, more integrated user interface, while also being capable of delivering better viewing and editing features.

In fact, we should note that there are two flavors of the app that users will enjoy, namely Quickoffice Pro and Quickoffice Pro HD.

The software delivers richer viewing of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, as well as a desktop-like experience to users of mobile devices.

The release notes for the new app versions include:

- Support for Microsoft Office 2010 files - Access and save to Evernote, Catch, and Egnyte - Share files using Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, SlideShare, Docstoc, Scribd, and Yammer - Updated user interface for easier navigation and control - Split/merge cells, and wrap cell text in spreadsheets - Create and indent numbered lists, bulleted lists in documents - More fonts in documents and presentations - Improved slide rendering and layout in PowerPoint files.

Apparently, these are only some of the improvements that the two application flavors offer now to their users. Better cloud features and increased social networking integration will certainly make the software more appealing to all users.

Both Quickoffice Pro and Quickoffice Pro HD offer access to Evernote and Catch, as well as to Box.net, Dropbox, Google Docs, MobileMe, SugarSync and Huddle.

Quickoffice Pro HD for Android tablets is available for purchase via the Android Market here for only $14.99 for a short period of time, while Quickoffice Pro for Android smartphones can be acquired from here for $9.99.
