Quickoffice, Inc., the company responsible for the delivering one of the most popular office productivity solutions for smartphones and tablets, has just announced that an important update for the Android version is now available for download.

The latest versions of QuickOffice Pro and Pro HD add new functionality enhancements, usability improvements, as well as Ice Cream Sandwich support.

The new functionality elements offered by the developer are available through a series of partnerships with “enterprise file management and file sharing partners.”

According to Quickoffice, Inc., these new partnerships and service providers include Accellion, Copiun, GroupLogic, Stratosherix, Moprise, Egnyte, Alfresco and Oxygen Cloud.

Thanks to the new agreements, Quickoffice users will now be able to take advantage of instant document sharing and enhanced file productivity and workflow.

As the forerunners in the mobile Office market, we have been able to successfully capitalize on the explosive growth in the smartphone and tablet markets, generating our highest revenue numbers to-date and growing our user base exponentially,” said Alan Masarek, CEO.

With Quickoffice Android users can create, edit and share Microsoft Office documents, spreadsheets and presentations. A file manager is available as well, which allows users to view both Office and non-Office files.

In addition, the application offers full support for Office 2010, Evernote, Egnyte and Catch, as well as various functionality options, such as merge or split cells, and new sharing partners.

QuickOffice users are provided with quick access to Google Docs, Dropbox, Box, Huddle, SugarSync, and MobileMe services, where they can manage files.

We are equally excited about our recent developments in cloud-based technologies and look forward to launching new services in 2012, which will further advance our next-generation mobile Office vision,” added Masarek.

QuickOffice Pro is now available for download in the Android Market for $14.99 and is fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up.
