14 DAY TRIAL // One of the most popular office suite for Android devices, QuickOffice Pro has just been updated to version 4.1.
The latest iteration of the application brings several important enhancements, as well as new features.
Quickoffice Pro 4.1 has been improved with new editing features for its Word, Excel and PowerPoint editors, Quickword, Quicksheet and Quickpoint respectively.
In addition, users will now be able to view footnotes and endnotes in Word documents and leverage very easy-to-use formula builder enhancements in Excel.
“The Android market continues to be an exciting platform as new devices appear from various handset manufacturers,” said David Halpin, VP of engineering at Quickoffice.
The application allows users to access, view, edit and share Microsoft Office files on the device or in the cloud through integrated access to Box.net, Google Docs, Dropbox, Huddle, SugarSync and MobileMe accounts.
Furthermore, the latest update provides users with enhanced image rendering and improved document loading for 2003 and 2007 files.
Also, when using QuickWord, pictures are cached to save memory, enabling faster document load time and enhancing scrolling capabilities.
Another enhancement added by the latest version is the new range of editing features offered by Quickpoint, including: undo / redo for picture insertion and deletion; shape background editing; improved bullet rendering; and insert shapes and render vertical text in a presentation.

Quickoffice Pro 4.1 features a control redesign for Excel, which allows users actively edit inline, selecting and scrolling through different cells, rather than double tapping on different cells to make edits.
Quickoffice Pro 4.1 is now available for download from Android Market for $14.99 and is compatible with all smartphones running Android 2.0 or newer.
