The service is available via a native mobile application

Software developer Quickoffice, Inc. maker of the popular office application with the same name, has just launched a new cloud-based service that allows users to synchronize their documents.

Dubbed Connect by Quickoffice, the new service enables remote access and aggregated search through all cloud services and devices, regardless of operating system.

According to QuickOffice, this is an all-in-one solution that offers a user-friendly interface, allowing users to access their documents from anywhere in the world from any platform.

With Connect users can access files stored on Mac, PC, iPhone, iPad, Android smartphones and tablets, or on other cloud services, such as Basecamp, Box, Catch, Dropbox, Egnyte, Evernote, Google Docs, Huddle, Microsoft SkyDrive, Springpad, SugarSync and WebDev.

Furthermore, users can edit, create and documents, spreadsheets as well as presentations that strongly resemble Microsoft Office formats. As we mentioned earlier, it can automatically sync files across all devices.

Other highlights of the cloud-based service include the following features:

- Remote access into connected desktops and mobile devices; - Search across all devices and clouds; - Share folders with anyone; - Share files with connected social networks, including Docstoc, Facebook, LinkedIn, Slideshare, Scribd, Twitter and Yammer; - Collaborate with peers by commenting on files or folders; - Manage files online via Quickoffice Connect web portal.

Mobile phone users who want to take advantage of the new cloud-based service offered by QuickOffice should know that it’s available via a native mobile application for iOS and Android platforms.

It is also worth mentioning Connect service automatically syncs documents in order to ensure that the latest versions are available on the device.
