Driftmoon is an indie RPG title that brings back the classic adventuring style that games like Ultima were so much praised for in the past.

Some might say that the spirit of Ultima is present in Driftmoon especially due to the fact the development of the game started no less than 7 years ago.

Created by a small team of two people, founders of Instant Kingdom studio, Driftmon promises to offer players an unforgettable adventure in a fantasy world full of magic and mystery.

First of all, if you are a hardcore fan of the RPG/adventure genre, the gameplay video might contain some spoilers, so you might want to skip it.

Driftmoon tells the story of a young boy who is about to embark into the adventure of his life when a band of lizards storms the village where his parents live and petrify all living creatures with a few exceptions.

I have yet to find such an enticing indie RPG title such as Driftmoon. The story and dialogs are amazingly well written and read like a very good fantasy book.

Honestly, Driftmoon is not about rich graphics or complex battle systems, so if you treasure these most in a RPG title, then look elsewhere because you're not going to find it in this one.

Although I only poured around 3 hours of gameplay into Driftmoon, I'm totally hooked by the story and the well-depicted characters and hope to finish it in the coming days.

I strongly recommend Driftmoon to all players who enjoy old-school RPG/adventure games and can look past the fact that it hasn't been build on the latest graphic engines.

I also highly recommend voting for this little gem on Steam. Instant Kingdom enlisted Driftmoon into Valve's Greenlight system where it now awaits to be greenlit. You can vote for it here.
