“The Hateful Eight” was going to be Quentin Tarantino's next big project, that was supposedly going to be bigger than his successful “Django,” simply because he was going to use all that experience and make an even more awesome movie.

But then the leak happened, and Tarantino huffed and puffed at the media and decided that he wasn't going to be doing the movie anymore. So far, there has been talk that he might turn it into a book or graphic novel, but nothing has been confirmed.

Today, it's been revealed by the Los Angeles Times that the legendary director is planning to collaborate with Film Independent to host a stage reading of the unmade script in an event that is going to take place on April 24, at LACMA.

The report mentions that it is going to be a one-night-only performance and it isn't going to be recorded or streamed, meaning that only a privileged few would get to see it performed live.

Tarantino is apparently already starting production on the live reading, selecting the group of actors that will bring his creation to life. All proceeds from this production are going to be donated to the nonprofit organization that produces Film Independent Spirit Awards and the Los Angeles Film Festival.
