Recently, Quayside Publishing has started notifying customers that their names, addresses and credit card information might have been compromised. The notification comes after the company identified a piece of malware on its web server.

In the letter sent to impacted individuals, the company says that it’s uncertain if cardholder information has been obtained, but it’s clearly a possibility.

The breach occurred sometime between April 29, 2013 and June 17, 2013. Affected customers are those who had purchased something on Qbookshop.com, Qbookshop.net, Motorbooks.com or WalterFoster.com in this time interval.

Quayside Publishing claims to have taken some measures to avoid future incidents. However, as DataBreaches highlights, impacted customers are not offered any free credit monitoring services.

Instead, they’re advised to place a fraud alert on their credit file.
