QD Vision should be getting lots of requests for help in the near future

QD Vision is a maker of quantum dot technology, which has only been used in Sony TV products so far, but soon, there may be many more vendors licensing it. At least from China and Korea.

That, at any rate, is what rumors are saying at the moment, although Sony will probably remain the major client of QD Vision.

Still, even then, QD Vision should have enough technological acumen to go around. Maybe the extra business will prompt and allow it to expand its operations and employee base somewhat.

The resulting UHD TV panels (3840 x 2160 pixels) should support 100% of the NTSC color gamut (standard specification for US).

Currently, Sony's UHD TVs NTSC 90% and above displays are selling pretty well, at least for their respective market segments, so there is more than enough cause for Korea- and China-based TV vendors to hold out hopes that they will benefit from a similar trend.
