It has lately appeared that brand vendors are maintaining relatively high notebook orders to Taiwan-based ODMs. Sources from inside Taiwan-based supply chain makers reported by DigiTimes indicate that Quanta Computer has managed to take the number one spot with 4 million shipped notebooks in September.

If you are wondering whom Quanta is supplying mostly, the answer is HP and Apple. The company has managed to perform pretty decently in the Q3 of 2013, managing to ship up to 11 million units. About the same is forecasted for the next quarter, so annual volume numbers could rise up to 43-44 million units.

Coming in at number 2, after Quanta, we stumble upon Compal Electronics which shipped 3.2 million units, followed by Inventec with 2.35 million units, and Wistron with 2.3 in September.

Compal is the main provider for known brand vendors such as Lenovo, Dell and Acer. The company is expected to experience a rise in demand with 5-10% in Q4, due to increased orders.
