I'm sure you had your share of Vista compatible screen news. Well, forget the Vista compatible LCD screen advertising hype and let's take a look at this interesting Linux ready Al-in-one PC-TV combo.

Hong Kong based manufacturer Quataris' QuaNext PC-TV is the first generation (their first actually) of All-in-one PC-TV. The new networked LCD TV is running a modified version of SUSE Linux. Just by pressing a button (really?), you can decide whether you want to use the machine as a TV or as a computer.

Linux ready QuaNext Flat Panel TVs features a 19-inch TFT display with a maximum resolution of 1,440 x 990 (standard resolution 1024x768) and is powered by an Intel Pentium 3.2 GHz processor. It comes with a remote control (it's definitely targeted at the slothful) that allows you to switch between a computer and a TV, allowing you to enjoy surfing the net on a bigger screen. It appears to be suited for your living room or other places where there is not enough space for an additional computer (kitchens, bedrooms, office desks, studios, boats, campers trucks and perhaps tree houses, and caravans).

The SUSE Linux powered computer comes with its own multimedia center software which is capable of managing photos, music, videos and movies. Here's what's inside the case: a HD that can store up to 220 GB (7200 rpm), up to 2 GB DDR 400 (PC3200) Ram, built-in Intel GMA graphics chipset, 10/100 LAN, IR and USB 2.0.

There's no word about the price yet, but if you're that eager to try this "wonder", you can always settle for a TV tuner.
