CES 2015 is right on our door step, so in one week, we’re expecting a lot of important tech players to take the stage at the event and unveil new products, including flagship devices.

It’s the case of LG which could pull out of the box the successor of its curved G Flex handset. The upcoming high-end device will most likely debut at CES 2015, especially since Qualcomm hinted towards the announcements on its Twitter page.

LG G Flex 2 makes a brief appearance

The chip maker doesn't just come out and say the name of the product but teases a picture of the device. And as you can see, the buttons on the back coupled with LG’s distinctive pattern of self-healing polycarbonate toes pretty much indicates it’s the LG G Flex 2 we’re looking at.

Interestingly, the Tweet mentions the device will run on the Snapdragon 800 platform, which is pretty unlikely to happen, since the chip is pretty outdated.

Qualcomm probably refers to the Snapdragon 801 or Snapdragon 805, since both models are basically part of the 800 family.

Apart from the central processing unit, we don’t know much about the upcoming LG G Flex 2. According to previous rumors we heard a while back, the device will feature a high resolution plastic-based OLED screen (most likely Full HD).

The self-healing coating characteristic of the first-gen G Flex will make a comeback on the successor, boasting an improved form.

What would you like to see on the new LG G Flex 2?

The original LG G Flex was introduced back in October 2013 and arrived in the world as the second device to feature a plastic-based curved display.

The first one was actually Samsung’s Galaxy Round, but compared to that particular product, the LG’s G Flex could bend more dramatically from top to bottom.

We’ll keep an eye on the LG G Flex 2 on the grounds at CES 2015 in order to bring you the all the details you need to know.
