One of the most important chipset vendors for Android smartphones, Qualcomm has just announced new mobile games for devices that features Snapdragon CPUs and a new showcase application called Snapdragon GameCommand.

The mobile games expand its Snapdragon GamePack that comprises more than 100 games to date and further bolsters the supply of addictive games for mobile devices equipped with Snapdragon processors.

Both, the new games and the Snapdragon GameCommand app are expected to arrive in the Android Market in early 2012.

Initially, the new titles offered by Qualcomm next year will be specifically optimized to work only on Android-based devices powered by Snapdragon processors, but will be launched on other chipsets soon afterwards.

Among the new titles announced by Qualcomm, there are several highly-acclaimed PC games, including “The Ball” developed by Tripwire Interactive, “Fight Game Heroes” from Khaeon Gamestudio, as well as NAMCO BANDAI Games' “GALAGA Special Edition” arcade game.

Qualcomm has received great user feedback since launching the Snapdragon GamePack, so we are expanding the quantity and quality of games while making them easier to locate through the launch of the Snapdragon GameCommand app,” says Raj Talluri, vice president of product management at Qualcomm.

With the new Snapdragon GameCommand app Android fans will be able to quickly find and learn about the latest Snapdragon exclusive games.

In addition, users are offered the possibility to access all their games in a single place as an added bonus for installing Qualcomm's application.

We are looking forward to the launch of the Snapdragon GameCommand app, which will bring our Snapdragon-optimized games directly to consumers and help to eliminate the search process. Android has emerged as a prominent medium for gaming, and we are excited to work with Qualcomm to give gamers the mobile experience they deserve,” concluded Didier Pippel of Khaeon Gamestudio.
