Mobile phone maker XOLO is reportedly gearing up for the launch of a quad-core smartphone in India in the coming weeks, dubbed XOLO Q800.

The handset will sport a 4.5-inch touchscreen display, and it is also said to be the first quad-core smartphone in the company’s new Qcore series.

According to a recent article on Fonearena, the smartphone will run under Google’s Android Jelly Bean operating system, and will be priced anywhere between Rs. 12,000 ($217 / €168) and Rs. 13,500 ($245 / €189).

The new handset will be targeted at the mid-range market, the same as other smartphones that the company has launched recently, such as the A1000 and X500, it seems.

For the time being, however, no official info on the new smartphone has been provided, so stay tuned for more details on the matter.
